What does Billy Talent, Billy Squier, Green day, Nickel back, Dire Straits, ACDC, Pantera, Sum 41 and every rock band out there have in common? They make superior music. I have over 50,000 songs on my playlist. All of them are rock, punk rock or metal. I like hearing actual instruments and singing. I find pop and hip-hop music now days is just about money and flexing on people. You see I’m poor, so I cannot relate to any of those song.
I find rock music is just music that I can relate to and has a meaning behind it. A meaning that isn’t just about putting flexing on other people. Rap music to me is just noise, my girlfriend calls me the 40-year-old 22-year-old. But I just like to listen to music that’s about stuff I have done, or I like. My dad also only listens to 70-90 rock music, so i was raised listen to this style of music.
On top of this, I am also part deaf from working in the trades, and I drive a truck, so Rock music being played loudly out of a pickup truck just feels right.
