My main Hobby is anything mechanical. I’ve always owned older vehicles and have had to fix them up along the way. I also make extra money by flipping cars and selling parts. I enjoy sharing the ways I do things with people so I can get suggestions on what I did wrong or how it can be done differently. I also enjoy teaching.
Vehicle trilogies
This is my 2006 Gmc Sierra. I have owned this truck since high school, and it was getting rusty. In 2021 I pulled the truck apart and replaced the box, doors, floors and rockers with new metal.
I used acid to clean the rust off the frame and repainted everything. The use of acid to clean the frame really made the whole process faster. It was also a lot cleaner than sand blasting or sanding.
I used Farm implement paint on the frame so it will never come off again.
So, what would you have done differently? I did not want to spend too much money on rebuilding this vehicle because it does have over 500,000Km on it. I have owned it for 5 years and put more then 300,000km on it.
I have owned more than 7 of these Fj40 Land cruiser so far. you be able to notice that mine is a few different colours. I took all 7 of these Land cruisers and made one decent one out of all of them.
I can talk about this car all day. These are the two main cruiser I bought that I used. This vehicle means lot to me, one of my best friends would always bug me to go off-roading and trail riding in this truck once it was done. He passed away in March of 2023 so he will never get to come with me once it is done. I have collected a barn full of part, so if you need any 1940-1985 land cruiser parts hit me up! I need more room for more junk.
I have to only show a few vehicles I have, or this page will never end. I have owned more then 20 vehicles that are currently servicing the purpose of grass art around my property.
So, one more vehicle that mean a lot to me is my 2009 GMC Sierra Durmax
This was the first vehicle that I bought that was nice. The first car would not be worried about picking my mom or girlfriend up in.
I bought this truck from the states. It was originally in the desert so there was no rust on it. It was an older man who owned the truck, and he took immaculate care of this vehicle.
The truck was fully detailed and cleaned before it was shipped up to me. No one had ever pulled this vehicle a part or touched it.
So of course, when I finally picked it up, I pulled the whole truck a part.
I used the truck to pull trailers around because it is a diesel. I wanted more power out of the engine, and it spiraled out of control because I have no self-control or financial responsibility. The truck got bigger turbos, fuel system and much more. It currently is sitting at over 600hp, and I am taking it drag racing at the Grand Bend speed way in August 2024.
You might be asking yourself why I would make a reliable vehicle unreliable, way overpowered, and burn way more fuel. Why? I got bored one day is my best answer.
